Hotel rooms in SF start at about $ 65 per night in a not so pleasant, in a not very good in the city. Pier 35 is located near Fisherman's Wharf, and is the most major hotels in the region exceeded $ 160 per night.

I personally do not want to stay at Fisherman's Wharf, because it is a way out of the way downtown.
For your first visit to the Union Square is probably the best place to stay. There are many good restaurants, shops, theaters and clubs near Union Square. It is located in the center of many means of public transport within walking distance of most tourist areas. It would be less than $ 10 for a taxi from any hotel in Union Square to the cruise terminal.

Http: / / www.jdvhospitality.com Joie de Vivre, there are several hotels near Union Square at different prices. Each hotel is unique and have a free and interesting in the lot to a person on site, call Golden Gate Greeter who share your interests, a few hours to spend with you and become familiar with the city. http: / / www.goldengategreeter.c ...

And check for a few good ideas of things on the websites:
